bed head
i will admit it...when bennet first arrived i was a little surprised (shocked!!) that she was pretty much bald. i had pictured a baby with lots of dark hair like her daddy. but she def takes after me in the hair department. i love that her hair is growing and growing everyday. i love putting little clips in and i long for the day i can put little piggy tails in. when i was little i had curly/wavy hair. she is getting the cutest little curls! i can't take it when i see them. they are so darling.
well along with her hair getting longer, it is making for some pretty funny crazy bed head. she wakes up with bouffant like everyday. it just cracks me up. you can't see it too well in these photos but everyday it is something new.

Ah, now that I'm seeing these pictures, I do see similarities in our baby's hair! Lol. We always call Joel's bed head "Busey" after Gary Busey because it looks all crazy like that and Joel gets a wild look in his eye when he wakes up. Lol.
Thanks for sharing about your discipline endeavors! I've given up on a lot of the little things too, but we're also having issues with some dangerous stuff. He stands in his high chair, turns around, sits on the edge, swings a leg over the side, crawls onto the tray... it's a nightmare and the whole time we're trying to eat I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack because I think he's going to bite it. We've tried no and even spanking, but he is SO stubborn and if we're trying to sit him down he pushes against us to stand up. He's also obsessed with crawling to the edge of the bed and trying to fling himself off, eating electrical cords (which is a problem when he unhooks or unplugs them) and lately he's trying to start to climb things like book shelves and our TV stand. SO a lot of our struggles are teaching him that something is dangerous without him learning the lesson on his own (because falling off the bed or out of the highchair could cause some damage). That's where we're getting so frustrated... but he comes by it honestly. Josh and I are both incredibly stubborn and strong willed and independent. We just know not to do dangerous things. ;)
And thanks also for your prayers! It's been a rough few days. If ever you have to put Bennet on anti-biotic as a toddler, it'll definitely give her runny diapers. I didn't know that, but everyone we know has been confirming it to us the last few days and telling us the stories of how awful it is. Today he had 8 of those diapers and his poor little bottom is so chapped. I feel just terrible for him and it's so sad to see him being unlike himself. :( Thanks again for the prayers. SO appreciated! I pray Bennet is never sick until she's like, 5. Or at least 3. Or 18. Whatever you prefer. ;)
(And sorry to leave the world's longest comment... I probably should have just e-mailed you.)
