yesterday i celebrated this...

all by my lonesome.  

pete is on the road...i just got a call this morning...the bus is frozen up and they can't drive it.  it is in the shop and hopefully they can get on the road later tonight...problem is they are in wyoming...so it will take 18+ hours to get back to the chicago area then it will take pete an extra 8 hours to get home from there.  this isn't turning out the way i thought it would.  let's just say i guess i will always remember our first anniversary.   but not so much for how awesome it was.

pete, i love you. get home to me safely and quickly so we can celebrate our first year of marriage.  i love you with all my heart and i am so excited to share so many more with you!

today i am anyway. life has been crazy, insane, hard, fun, busy, looong, fast, exciting....the list goes on and on but you get it. i can't believe it is november! this is my favorite time of year. from the weather, the colors, the anticipation for christmas! my birthday is this month. you know you are old when you don't get that same excited feeling about your day. i mean i am only turning 25 in a couple weeks, i know that i am not old, but its just not the same.

busy bee

right now i am out on the road with pete. canada has been awesome so far and it has been so fun to watch the shows the lights are pretty amazing! i will post some pics later on...

we get back monday so i will be back to reality. we move tuesday!!! it is all that has been on my mind lately. dreaming of how i will decorate it, where everything will go, and how cozy it will be!

the finished project!

finally i finished a craft project! i am horrible at starting something, getting bored with it, and then giving up. even though i really wanted to stop half way with this thing {cutting out tons of little felt circles isn't exactly enthralling :)} i am so glad i didn't give up. to think this lamp was on it's way to goodwill last week. it will now have a place in our new little home {i am thinking spare bedroom night stand}

but seriously things have been crazy.
went to seattle...
my family finally saw pete play...
decided to quit my job in hopes of finding what i truly love to do...
but is still working at said job...
started looking for a new place to live...
found a new place to live...
is really excited about the cute place to live...
started packing...
started dreaming how i will decorate said place to live...
pete out of town for like a month...
pete back in town!...
and is going to visit fam in st.louis, travel to montana on a bus, travel to canada on bus, travel back to nashville, move, pete leaves day after we move :( all in september.

so with all of that said, you know what has been on my mind lately? what to do with this boring blue lamp shade i have just sitting around wanting to look cuter. well i can check this off my list. oh wait that is when i actually am able to sit down and accomplish this makeover. thank you design*sponge. you've really helped this overwhelmed lady out. {image via design*sponge}

half a year

ago...that is 6 months ago yesterday pete and i said "i will" i can't believe how fast time goes by. pretty soon we will be celebrating 6 years! :) ahh marital bliss. love you hubs!

so when are we gonna have babies?? cus obviously that is what comes next, right? well its gonna be awhile just so we can sleep. we like sleep alot. so until i can give up my needed 9 hours that is when we will be ready. and we want to travel and stuff. you know?
but seriously if it happened tomorrow we would be happy (right babe? ;))
i can tell i am gonna be a good mom though. i am already thinking of how i would decorate the little room! and that is what babies really want right? a cute room. whenever i go to the flea market and something little catches my eye that would only serve a purpose in a baby room...i buy it. well sometimes. like this...
okay like i have never ever seen anything as cute as this! it is a vintage children's game board with the cutest animals i have ever seen! seriously i am going to frame it and put it in our future kid's room. they will love me for it! haha and pete was with me when i got it. he gave his approval and i talked the lady down to $10 for this sweet thing.
seriously i can't wait to decorate a room for a baby. it would be filled with the whole line of Target's shabby chic. that stuff just kills me! my whole house would look frilly and old ladish if i could. but i try to respect pete and not make him live in a doilie. but my child will! hahaha. even if it is a boy.

love a good sale

some things i am loving on sale this week.

i love finding a good sale! my hubs will be out of town this weekend so i think i am gonna plan to go garage saleing. i won't be buying anything though :( {see below} but just looking at great little treasures makes me happy. (i can say that until i see something i think i absolutely have to Have!)

happy almost weekend! it is beautiful here but the mosquitoes are already out :( was outside for like 10min and i already have 5 bites.

so the hubs and i are doing this...so for now we have none of this...

gosh i wish i would've been taught all this earlier.


so this no spending thing is causing a lot of cleaning, extra working, making new outfits out of old clothing, figuring out wants and necessities, reading. i am not complaining though! all of this is great stuff (well i would like to go shopping for some new summer skirts and shirts) but oh well...

my wisdom teeth are coming in {yikes!!} so i am going in for a consultation tomorrow. ughhh please don't let it hurt too bad!

(ps wednesday with no LOST...geeze that is sad)

cinco de mayo baby!!!

at 10:10am this morning my beautiful sister amanda gave birth to baby boy Owen David Low! everyone is doing great, even big brother aidan who couldn't be more excited about his new baby bro! i won't get to meet him for a few days (uncle pete and i are driving up sunday) but i know i already adore this little man! here is a pic of big brother and the little sweetie sweet!

pete is home :)
although he will be in the studio for like the next month so even though he will be "home" he probably won't be :( but i am excited to hear the new songs! and i will be sitting at the studio whenever i can to make sure i get to see him. cus, i mean, i love him!

while he was gone i bought a rug, took naps with the kitties, shopped, paper route show, hung out with friends, worked, and got inspired to be crafty....well at least tried. (i will post my craftiness another day)

today while doing some much needed blog reading, i saw these photos. our kitchen constantly frustrates me. it is little, cramped, and with no counter space. plus we never got around to painting it a cute color. it is the last room i ever want to clean, but always have to. one day i do hope to have a kitchen that looks like this...


surely i would cook some lovely meals with a kitchen like that!! or pete would seeing as he is a better cook. ahhh...i am imagining drinking some coffee in the lovely little room. if only...

springtime ♥ skirts

i am in love with this time of year. it always feels like spring gets the short end though. winter tries to hang on as long as it can and summer can't wait to show it's 90 degrees face.
i am bringing out the skirts in honor of spring! just in the blog world though, if i bought all of these we would be destitute. a girl can dream though.

flea market find

we finally found a dresser we both loved! oh the flea market has such lovely things! we found this for only $50 along with the mirror ($10)! i spray painted the handles and the mirror trim white but other then that it was perfect.

that is what i want our home to feel like. i think my new finds help...



the shelf was only $12, the owl $10, bird tin $4. i think they fit in nicely next to one of our favorite wedding pictures.
