easter!

well b did so so great on all our traveling. she was a dream baby! the only thing that was stressful was she didn't want to nap very much on our long plane rides. and let me tell you she is a mover and a shaker! seriously she just wanted to constantly be moving and on a tight little plane there is only so much you can do. other then that it was so easy and peaceful. i realized that the time change didn't really affect her! we got back yesterday and she is already back in nashville time!
before we left town we gave her her easter basket. she loved going through it and seeing all the goodies mr. bunny gave her. she got a big stuffed bunny (she loves hugging it), lots of books, eggs, a tea set, and lots of easter knick knacks.





we were in california for easter sunday. it was a beautiful day with beautiful weather. bennet got lots of hang time with her cousin grace and got lots of lovin from her papa and grandma.

happy {early} easter

hope you all have a great time this easter. we are flying out to california tomorrow and are so excited to see some family! bennet did great in atlanta and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the same thing to happen the next few days. see you when we get back....with lots of baby on the beach photos ;)

what the baby wore...

8 months

happy 8 months girlie! you my dear are THE best! your dadda and i can't get enough of you. although you keep growing and changing from the little infant you once were, it is so great to see you do something new everyday. you just continue to amaze us.



you are learning so much right now. you love to play peek a boo and when asked how big you are you throw your hands up in the air for sooo big! it is too cute. sometimes you like to be holding our hands when you do this so you throw up our hands too. it is to funny. you are learning to pick up puffs and feed yourself...it is still a little hard for you but practice makes perfect! today you clapped but only once so we will keep working on that. we got you a baby signs dvd and you love it. pretty soon i bet you will be picking some of them up.



tv, reading, jumping in the jump a roo, getting a bath, eating, playing sitting up all still continue to be some of your favorite things. you also love talking and taking walks. we have been enjoying the spring days here and try to get outside alot. you love sitting on the porch and watching the cars drive by.



right now you are teething and you still have 0 teeth. you are working hard on those gums though so i bet we will see them before next month. you had your 1st fever the other day due to teething and getting shots. but it quickly went back to normal.



we are gearing up for our traveling next week. i think/pray you do well. you are still so chill (even with the teething pain) so fingers crossed for sure!



thank you baby for all the little hugs, big kisses and smiles. i can't believe what 8 months have brought. you have gone from a little sleepy newborn to a very sweet, curious baby girl. this life with you and daddy is THE best ;)

beach baby

as i mentioned early, we are heading to cali soon to visit pete's side. i am so excited to take bennet to see the ocean and the beach. i am sure she will love the sounds and ocean air just as much as we do. can't wait to put her in her little tutu suit and this adorable sun hat and glasses. we've been practicing wearing them and she loves it...well the pulling them off part. i hope she leaves them on long enough to snap a few pics of her in the sand.



what am i most excited about is to see family. not being close to family and having a traveling husband def gets me down. some days are harder then others. like last night as pete was getting ready to leave for 4 days it hit me. i wish i could just go to my sister's house and let bennet laugh at her cousins. i wish that last night while we were grilling hot dogs, my mom could've come over for some. i want so badly for bennet to have her grandparents close. don't you think they should all just pack up already and move to nashville!? ;)

traveling with baby...

pete and i are embarking on a very busy traveling week coming up around easter. first we are driving down to atlanta to attend an award show (atlanta is around 4 hours away) then staying there 2 nights before driving back home. then the next day flying out to california. our flight is a little later then we would've liked but it was all we could get. so any tips with traveling this much with a baby? yes bennet will be with us for ALL of it. she is a pretty chill baby still as long as she is fed and well rested, but that doesn't take the stress away. what if she flips? what if i flip?? do i try and switch her schedule to cali time (2 hours behind us) do we seriously do this? i mean we are crazy right? i wouldn't be this stressed if they were separate trips with some time in between to rest and get back to normal. so my question...have you traveled with your baby close to bed time (on a plane?) have you traveled with a different time zone? what tips would you give us for all of this??

all of this is still a month away and i am already stressing about it. not to mention what i am going to wear to the award show (umm hello nursing DOES NOT help you lose baby weight!!! liars) so any help would be lovely :)
