reminiscing...

just looking at some old pics of bennet...makes me sad and happy. i am so blessed. today i am feeling so thankful for my family.

pudding paint

i asked my sister what were some of the things she did with her 1st baby to help fill the day...pudding paint is one of the ideas she had. i let bennet take her first go at it yesterday. lets just say she loved it...a lot!

wonderful weekend

you guys, pete is home this weekend!! eeek! i am super stoked for lots of family time together. tonight we are heading to the fair. it should be a good night with lots of fun people watching i am sure ;)

bennet's 1st bday party

{some of the party guest...it was chaos in my house but we were so glad everyone could make it. hope they didn't mind the craziness!}

{as i said before, we waited till our guest left and it was just family to open the gifts. cousin aidan helped and bennet didn't seem to interested in anything but the wrapping. she is wearing her gift from my friend jill check out her etsy shop!}

so that is that. i hope i included everything. if you have any questions on shops or diy let me know. but just know that all you need is some time and a hot glue gun ;) thank you everyone who helped us celebrate our little one. she truly is the best thing that has ever happened to us. we love you b!

i will post tomorrow all the party craziness (umm we had like 40 people in out little cottage house) it was worth it though! bennet was a doll and so sweet and chill the whole time. since our house was packed we waited to open the gifts after our guest left. we had some tables and chairs set out on our deck to make more room and we were blessed with a perfect evening. even though it was a little stressful i kept telling myself to breath and take it all in. i was emotional and happy. it was a great day. i can't believe she is considered a toddler now. she still looks like such a baby. still rocking her bottom 2 teeth (although her top left broke through and the right is about too) and doesn't show any interest in walking. overall it was a perfect day and we were so thankful to have all our close friends and family help us celebrate our little girlie!

12 months

this is happening today! and i can hardly believe it!!!

wagon rides

papa and grandma sent bennet's bday present to us and since it arrived on our doorstep bennet has been in love with her new wagon! i can't wait for cooler weather so we can take her out in this everyday. but since it's summer and stinkin HOT, pete had the idea to fill the bottom with water. bennet loves kicking and splashing the water! she would've stayed in it all but daddy was tired and sweaty pulling her around all day. it was super sweet!

i woke up this morning feeling so nauseous and sick. after taking some meds and putting on a baby einstein for b, i was able to relax and i am feeling much better. no i am not pregnant! i think i just ate something bad. i am glad to be feeling better, i have a lot to do to get ready for next week. pete's parents get in town monday and we have some fun things planned while they are here. then thursday is bennet's birthday and party and my family comes in that day too. i have a long to do list but thankful i have time to get it all done. can't believe she is almost 1!
