jane austen would've been proud

obviously i have not be too active on my blog lately. the last post we still had sixty five days to go till the wedding now we have been married almost 3 months! so crazy how fast it all flew by and i am sure anyone who's married can totally relate.

so with this post i want to talk about the wedding details.

can i just say that i have the best friends in the world, who for months helped me plan and make a lot of all the details. i could not have done it without their help.
the very first project that we got together for...boutonnieres. it was a lot of fun hanging out and eating good food! we finished them all in a few hours. read more about it here: http://ohmydeerhandmades.blogspot.com/2008/09/cute-as-button-ok-thats-old-what-other.html
the finished project turned out so so perfect! don't you agree? :)

the one pete chose:

i found my wonderful, beautiful, affordable dream dress online. gulp. i know. but it was the best thing i did! we paid for the wedding ourselves and wanted to keep it a very quant, small affair. we also did not want to take our a loan or put a bunch on credit cards. so we just kinda prayed and worked a lot and paid as we went. like i said before we had a lot of help and borrowed A TON! i can't say it enough....BORROW! a few good friends of mine all recently got married so i borrowed candles, votives, tables, and even trees! haha! i borrowed a lot of vintage glass bowls and plates from my mom for the dessert reception. i basically borrowed everything i could. thank the lord i have friends and a mom with good taste ;)

so hello! back to the dress. www.oncewed.com go there and you will see an internet wonder! that is were i found my dress and you could find your dream dress just go look and see!

bought the shoes on sale (woop woop!!) at dillards.

my beautiful friend made my bouquet! it was perfect. i really wanted something wild looking like i could have picked it in a field. she threw in some beautiful dahlias to pull it all together. it was more perfect then a dream.

before we got engaged i found this vintage wedding certificate at a flea market. it was probably the best thing i've ever found!

and last for this post...the rings. simple and sweet. i think you could tie up our whole wedding like that.

sending out the invitations...buying the dress...it is getting real!

only 65 days to go!  we sent the invitations out the other day!  we couldn't be happier with them!  our friend chelsea, who is the craftiest girl I know, did such an amazing job.  She even calligraphied the addresses!  Seriously!!!

                                                     (imaged blurred for privacy)

ummm...

In other news, I bought my dress!  WOOP WOOP!  I kinda did a risky thing and bought it online.  I love it so much though so we will see!!!
