okay...seriously, i cannot get enough of baby blogs. i read them more then my own baby books i have on my night stand. i think it definitely has something to do with them being more personal. these are real women and their pregnancy stories. when i find a good one, i go all the way back to their first post and dive in. for me, right now in this stage (i.e pregnant), this is like opening up a great book. i get so excited to read about what they felt at my current week (right now 17 weeks!) and then the best is reading their birth stories. as some know, i am planning on natural. when i find a blog where they were actually able to go natural all the way, i am so inspired. i mean come on those are some strong women. (seriously though, i got curious yesterday and watched some labor videos, well 5 seconds of one. are you kidding me?! i mean i always "knew" about the labor and heard all the stories about how wide you know what goes, but COME ON. seriously?!!? that is gonna happen to me?! wahhhhhhh....) anyways, strong women. i can do that right? i think it is so important to go into the whole labor (being ripped open) thing with goals. right now my goal is to make it to 7 centimeters then if i seriously don't think i can go anymore (which i am praying i will be strong enough to) i will get the epidural (which until i watched the horrible video, was the scariest thing to me...i hate needles and don't want one in my back like EVER). so if you are anything like me (scared out of my mind) reading some inspiring stories really help.
i wanted to pass along some of my absolute favorite. some of these women have yet to experience the labor but have inspired me so much already. some of these are learning to be a new mommy. and some are doing all this and are dang funny. my blog isn't very "popular" and i am not sure how many people read this but i want to give them a shout out and maybe introduce more readers, like myself, to their amazingness.
dear babyummm...this girl. seriously she is so cute and not to mention has a musician hubby so i feel like we can relate. i was so happy to discover her blog and this past weekend while my hubs was on the road i went and read every post. i laughed and my pregnant face even got teary eyed reading her birthing story.
harpers happeningsa very, very funny mother to little harper (who is just so cute!) i look forward to reading and cannot wait for her newest post. she is a stay at home mom who is very honest and straight forward. i laugh...out loud at her funny entries and my husband thinks i am going crazy.
please send parenting booksa very touching blog. she had to experience a lot of worry going on bed rest. her pregnancy story seemed like it had to be very hard but she always wrote positively and could be having her baby right now! which is a good thing bc she is far enough along now that seeing her baby boy will be such a great magical thing. i can't wait to read how it all goes. oh and the stories of her and her husband are hilarious!!! oh and....i got the idea for the pregnancy survey from her blog. great idea and a great way to remember details.
the bee hivea mom to three. all i need to say is she delivered her newest babe in her bathroom and her husband caught it. seriously?!?!! you can't say that isn't amazing. i enjoy reading up on her views on vaccines and love how she follows scripture. very inspiring.
just dandymy dear, dear friend who is expecting her first in a few weeks! one of my best friends and old roomy. she taught me so so much, how to knit, sew, and she is one of the kindest girls i know. she currently has THE cutest nusery in the blog world and has made everything in it. you should probably go to her
